Once the roads were a bit better, we ventured out to my sister from another mister's house, Janet is her name. :) We did some sledding, attempted to build an igloo, had a few sips of "antifreeze", laughed and enjoyed the company of one another. It was most definitely a GOOD day!
We have more snow falling as we speak. There is a really good possibility of another snow post in the next couple of days. I probably should have saved them up and combined them in to one post. But, I didn't! :)
The Blizzard of Oz is upon us and we are loving it!
Join me as I navigate through my life journey. I believe love and kindness are the perfect foundation for a joyful existence. Blessings are everywhere, YO!

Snow Day Número Uno
Last week it snowed like crazy in our parts! Landon loved playing in it and so did we. We came in and warmed up with homemade hot cocoa, made with Almond Milk, of course. Loads of fun!

Happy Love Day!
Love love me do, you know I love you!
We started our morning with heart shaped pancakes! Boy Wonder was beyond excited to have pancakes. He hasn't had them since Spring of last year, when we discovered gluten was a culprit in his UC symptoms. I did a little research and made a recipe using almond flour and rice flour. It was very simple and made for a happy boy!
Almond Flour/Rice Flour Pancakes (Wheat Free, Gluten Free, Dairy Free)
1/2 Cup Almond Milk
1 egg
1/2 Cup Almond Flour
1/2 Cup Rice Flour
1 TBSP raw honey
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp cinnamon
Combine all ingredients in a blender, pour in hot pan, flip and serve!
Happy Love Day to all of you!
P.S. The cupcakes were for Daddy and for Mommy's coworkers.

Heart Day Crafts
Guess what, Y'all? We did some crafts for Valentine's Day! I know, you're all super shocked. We had loads of fun, as always. Landon still switches back and forth between his right and left hands, while using both with equal skill. I hope it stays that way! Pretty cool, if ya ask me. I tend to think most things about him are pretty cool though. Except for his fits. Those are so NOT cool. I digress...
He absolutely adores the "I Love You" hand. We have one of these hanging in our house and he actually talks to it. He says, "HI, I Love You Hand. I love you, I Love You Hand." We gave one of these to Aunt Shannon and he told her, "I love the I Love You Hand and I also love you Aunt Shannon." This kid!
As you will see below, he's pretty proud of the finished product. Enjoy the photos!

Painting fun!
My boy, he does love his arts and crafts. He asks me on a regular basis if we can do a "traft" (craft) or "prah-jett" (project). It's super fun! He's only 2 and I already have a storage tote set up to contain all of these little treasures.
I have wanted to do a canvas painting with Landon for a while but didn't really know where or how to start. Sometimes I come up with things on my own, some times I get ideas from Pinterest or Google. Our most recent project was inspired by my super talented artist friend, Robin. Check her out over at Robin Egg View. She's super awesome and obviously knows what she's doing much more than I do!
Here's what we used:
- 2 pack of 11 x 14 canvas
- Tempura Paint in 6 different colors
- Cupcake liners to hold the paint
- Brushes
- Sponges
- Painters tape (next time I will use gesso, or better tape to ensure the edges don't run, or maybe both!)
- Spray acrylic sealer
- Newspaper to protect the floor
- 1 super cute boy to do the work
I pretty much just let him do his thing. When he was finished, I filled in any blank spots then let the paintings dry over night. I pulled the tape, sprayed with the acrylic sealer and wah-lah, art!

ABC's of Seuss Wall
I began regularly reading to Landon at about 20 months gestation. I would sit and read books to my growing belly in hopes he would hear my voice. My intention was to bestow upon him a love for literature. We still read books together several times a day. He greatly enjoys reading. Aaahhhhh.... :-)
I love Seuss, therefore he also loves Seuss. One of his very favorites has always been the ABC's of Seuss. I've read that book so many times I can actually recite it by heart, upon request. He's "read" it so many times that it began to fall apart at the spine. We were given another copy, thankfully. I decided to re-purpose the tattered book and make a hanging arrangement for one of his play room walls.
In total I used 23 frames, 15 of which I had around the house. I purchased 8 from the Dollar Tree. This whole project cost me a whopping $8.58, tax included! Score!
I ADORE the final product!
